Job summary

Horizon3.ai, a remote cybersecurity company, seeks a Mid to Senior Level Enterprise Technical Support Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to diagnose and resolve complex issues in cloud, networking, and security for enterprise customers including FedRAMP and DoD IL4/5/6 environments. The role emphasizes proactive learning, cross-team collaboration, and strong technical leadership.

Remote position with up to 5% travel; based on East Coast time zone, supporting large-scale deployments for Fortune

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical support, systems administration, or cloud operations, ideally in an enterprise-level environment (e.g., Fortune 500).
Strong proficiency in Linux administration, including server configuration, performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes.
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation) with provisioning experience.
Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers and networking tools).
Basic scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell) for automation.
Self-learning ability with certifications or home labs, adapting to new tech.
Experience as a junior cloud administrator in enterprise multi-tenant environments.
Familiarity with RBAC, SSO protocols, and directory services (AD/LDAP).
Database concepts (SQL/NoSQL) and basic administration.
Experience supporting cloud-based SaaS for DoD/FedRAMP enclaves.
Must reside in East Coast timezone; preference for DC/Baltimore area.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support to enterprise customers via phone, email, chat, and remote sessions; troubleshoot across cloud, networking, and infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve problems, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high availability of services.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales teams; document solutions for knowledge sharing.
Assist in deployment and optimization of customer environments; guide IaC and containerized apps.
Monitor and respond to tickets against SLAs; contribute to process improvements.
Mentor junior teammates and contribute to internal training resources.
Stay current on emerging technologies to enhance support capabilities.
