Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an experienced estimator to develop accurate proposals and estimates for the private and public sectors in the Westminster, CO region.

You will review drawings, analyze bid risks, and coordinate with field operations to ensure accurate data and competitive bids. The role requires extensive estimating experience and strong MS Office, CAD/estimating software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or equivalent related work experience.
• 7+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• 4+ years estimating experience.
• Experience in structures, tilt-ups, concrete work, and steel erection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and timely proposals and estimates for private and public sector works.
• Analyze bid risks, strategies and present estimates to senior management.
• Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions for final estimates.
• Coordinate with field operations to ensure scope understanding and data quality.
• Analyze alternative construction methods to improve bid competitiveness.
• Maintain relationships to increase bid opportunities regionally.
