Job summary

Granite Construction seeks a seasoned estimator to develop precise proposals for private and public sector projects. You will analyze drawings, specs, and site conditions, collaborating with field teams to ensure accurate cost data and timely bids.

Responsibilities include evaluating bid risks and alternatives, applying cost history, and communicating scope to pre-construction teams. Build strong regional relationships to expand bid opportunities and support company growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced knowledge of estimating software and civil/ construction principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with UDBE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate proposals and estimates for private and public sector projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions; incorporate input from field operations.
• Analyze bid risks, strategies, and alternatives to improve competitiveness.
• Enter take-off quantities and apply cost history to estimates.
• Communicate bid information to field operations for scope understanding.
• Build and maintain relationships to increase regional bid opportunities.
