Job summary

CJW Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead field operations on federal projects. The role focuses on site logistics, subcontractor execution, schedule adherence, and safety, with QC handled separately by the QC Manager.

The candidate will manage occupied federal facilities, coordinate base access, and drive progress through proactive planning and documentation, with DoD installations in the DC area preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years as a Site Superintendent on federal government construction contracts.
• Experience delivering NAVFAC, USACE, GSA, USAF, or NIH contracts.
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and IDIQ Task Order.
• Experience on occupied federal facilities with phasing and access control.
• Active CAC or DBIDS base access credential required on Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain full site logistics from mobilization through demobilization.
• Direct multiple subcontractors, sequencing trades and maintaining production momentum.
• Manage badging, escort, and installation access for personnel and subs on secure bases.
• Read and apply drawings at expert level across architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and fire protection.
• Document pre-task meetings and run them with the crew.
• Produce a 3-week lookahead schedule and manage CPM-based progress.
• Lead safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce DoD base safety requirements.
• Maintain daily field logs with narrative of manpower, deliveries, and issues.
• Communicate with COR/QAR and PM on day-to-day matters.
