Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager & Estimator to lead nationwide federal construction projects, focusing on NAVFAC, USACE, and USCG opportunities. You will oversee pricing, bid development, design-build processes, and cross-functional teams in a high-stakes environment.

The role requires deep FAR knowledge, strong preconstruction and delivery skills, and a proven track record of profitable project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of federal construction project management/estimating experience.
• Experience delivering design-build projects for NAVFAC, USACE, USCG or similar federal agencies.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR and agency-specific requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and preconstruction efforts.
• Proficiency with construction management and estimating software platforms.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-relations skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearances if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of federal construction projects, from award through closeout, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, schedule, and budget.
• Manage project teams, subcontractors, and design partners in a design-build environment.
• Oversee project scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients, including NAVFAC, USACE, and USCG.
• Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and communication meet federal standards and FAR requirements.
• Drive project execution strategies that support safety, quality, and operational excellence.
