Job summary
Spectrum Business is seeking a Sales Engineer III, Federal Government to evaluate federal client networking requirements and provide cost-effective solutions. You will craft designs, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and present technical proposals while traveling between client sites and offices to support sales for civilian and DoD clients.
The role includes a formal 10-week paid training winner of a Brandon Hall Group award, and a base salary with a commission target starting at $35,000.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of network engineering, administrator, network sales engineering or major accounts experience.
- Five or more years of experience designing IP networks.
- Experience with telephone network design and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Complete our 10-week paid sales training that won a Brandon Hall Group gold award for excellence in Best Advance in Sales Enablement and Performance Tools.
- Perform a needs analysis to determine a client’s short and long-term technical requirements.
- Design network solutions for clients, including network topologies and technical specifications.
- Prepare and present technical proposals to support sales.
- Develop strategic responses for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and TOs.
- Field-based sales roles have fluidity between home, client location and office locations. The expectation is that you are primarily out in front of clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to install and integrate products.
- Serve as the SME for the sales of standard and non-standard solutions.
