Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Project Development Engineer for the federal market to support our Energy Solutions offices. The candidate will lead energy projects, perform site visits, audits, and energy calculations, and guide the design and bidding process within the performance contracting framework.

Ideal candidates have strong HVAC design and commissioning backgrounds, experience with DOE/IDIQ federal contracts, and knowledge of UFGC/UFGS for DoD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy services or federal market.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Familiarity with DOE/Army Corps IDIQ contracts and DoD UFGC/UFGS knowledge.
• Experience with building energy systems, HVAC, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development phase with site visits, audits, energy calculations.
• Direct engineering design team producing drawings and specifications.
• Direct the bidding process and develop the final contract.
• Coordinate with the construction manager for the construction period.
• Oversee commissioning and warranty phases as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V to develop the first-year M&V report.
