Job summary

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks a mid-level to senior Contracts Administrator to independently manage the full life cycle of prime contracts and subcontracts, and to support AMA's NASA and Department of Defense programs.

This role is based in Huntsville, AL, with hybrid or remote work arrangements considered for qualified candidates. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and a strong federal contracting background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management, supply chain management, finance, economics, accounting, legal studies, or related field.
• Mid-level: at least 5 years progressive contracts or subcontract administration experience.
• Senior-level: at least 8 years progressive experience, including independent management of complex agreements and negotiations.
• Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS and their application to prime contracts and subcontracts.
• Experience administering cost-type, fixed-price, and labor-based contracts and subcontracts.
• Strong commercial contract and subcontract experience administering both subcontracts and prime-subcontractor agreements.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer prime contracts, delivery orders, and task orders from pre-award through post-award to ensure FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Support proposal and bid preparation, reviewing solicitations and specs to identify risks and mitigation.
• Serve as a point of contact with Government contracting personnel and teaming partners on contractual matters.
• Support program reviews with contract status, funding, and compliance information.
• Coordinate review and approval of terms, conditions, and legal sufficiency of contractual documents.
• Manage subcontracts end‑to‑end: requirements definition, solicitation evaluation, negotiation, award, funding, and closeout.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate subcontractor proposals, including price/cost analyses and source selection recommendations.
• Administer government and commercial contracts, subcontracts, and CPSR-related requirements per FAR/DFARS.
