Job summary

JB Management, Inc. seeks a seasoned Contracts Manager to lead cradle-to-grave DoD contracts, from proposals to closeout, including pricing, reps & certs, and audits. Hybrid work in Alexandria, VA; US citizenship required.

You will coordinate with finance, BD, and program teams, prepare briefs, update Deltek/CMS systems, and support audits with strong analytical and communication skills. This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years’ experience with DOD Federal contracts.
• Experience preparing and submitting Government Cost proposals.
• Experience preparing price proposals (labor rates, travel, estimates).
• Familiarity with negotiating and submitting proposals to the Federal Government.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of market research and cost-plus price development.
• Ability to draft complex contractual correspondence.
• Experience with DCAA/DCMA audits and negotiations.
• Experience researching and resolving OCONUS contractual issues.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform cradle to grave federal contracts administration with all contract types.
• Participate in proposal activities including pricing, reps & certs, and submission.
• Review and negotiate contracts, purchase orders and modifications.
• Record and disseminate information on awards, modifications, deviations and terminations.
• Prepare contract briefs and maintain electronic contract files in Deltek systems.
• Prepare and submit monthly/financial reports to customers.
• Submit travel authorization requests for customer approval.
• Financial planning and project control, including labor rate development.
• Develop baselines and estimates to complete (ETC) on programs.
• Monitor contract financial performance and compliance with terms.
