Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to lead end-to-end contract management for defense programs at Fairfax, VA, with a hybrid work schedule. You will guide negotiations, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires substantial experience with IDIQ contracts, pricing and estimating tools, and close collaboration with internal teams and customers to deliver compliant, competitive actions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with a Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop colleagues in contracting principles and practices
• Demonstrated experience managing IDIQ contracts

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of standard and non-standard contracts, including administration, negotiation, modifications, extensions, and closeout
• Support proposal development by preparing contract volumes, contributing to pricing strategies, and ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Lead contract negotiations with customers and partners in alignment with company policies, FAR/DFARS requirements, and customer specifications
• Review estimates, pricing data, material and service requirements, and performance criteria for completeness and compliance
• Prepare bids and maintain contract-specific documentation, reports, and historical records
• Serve as a primary liaison with internal teams and external customers, advising leadership on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities
• Analyze contract data, performance metrics, and financial impacts to support decision-making
• Develop and maintain contract-specific estimating tools and templates
• Share knowledge and best practices through training, mentoring, and consistent guidance to teammates
