Job summary

ZemiTek, LLC, a Washington, DC–area company, is seeking a Senior Contract Attorney – Litigation Support to provide expert guidance on federal litigation matters for the USAID Office of the General Counsel. You will draft legal memoranda, briefs, and discovery, coordinate with DoJ and outside counsel, and guide risk management in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a J.D., admission to the bar, and at least eight years of federal practice experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. admitted to the bar in good standing.
• Minimum eight years of substantive federal practice experience.
• Experience before U.S. District Courts, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, EEOC or MSPB.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced litigation support to attorneys handling federal proceedings.
• Review case materials and prepare memoranda, briefs and other documents.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses and correspondence with outside counsel.
• Research and analyze information to support decision-making.
• Maintain effective relationships with management and support staff.
• Meet litigation deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
