Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Federal Advisory practice in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on rapidly architecting and implementing cloud solutions, aligning with security and compliance standards, and driving DevOps capabilities across client engagements.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud architectures using Azure, AWS, or GCP, and will leverage IaC tools and container technologies to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical Cloud Engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Experience designing cloud architectures and implementing production infrastructures in Azure, AWS, or GCP using infrastructure as code.
• Experience with cloud native container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker; Terraform, Ansible, Chef and Puppet preferred.
• Experience developing data analytics platforms on cloud is preferred.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and ability to develop in terminal environments; experience with Git/SVN.
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements; U.S. Government clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, prototype, implement, and optimize cloud architectures.
• Develop cloud platforms/applications utilizing infrastructure as code to solve real world problems with quality and compliance.
• Work in cross-disciplinary teams to understand client needs and contribute to cloud DevOps capabilities.
• Research and utilize leading cloud methodologies / new tools for productivity, security, reliability, and performance.
• Advance tools/services in cloud DevOps such as monitoring, deployment, CI, and cloud scripts.
• Contribute to business requirements capture, translation, and client relationship development.
