Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks Lead Specialist for its Federal Advisory practice to drive full-stack development and modern software delivery. You will guide architecture, implement SCRUMs, and enforce coding standards across cloud-native stacks including Angular/React front-ends and Java backends.

You will collaborate with product managers and solution architects, review code, and ensure documentation is comprehensive for rapid, reliable deployments in federal engagements.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of technical full-stack development experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of full-stack development including modern UI and backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Angular, React) and cloud-native solutions (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful technology development utilizing Agile / DevOps methodologies of complex systems and solutions.
• Lead development life cycles with software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, SCRUMs with JIRA, and CI/CD (Jenkins, Nexus, Docker).
• Learn / analyze existing codebases and develop code to support products (Tech: Cloud IaaS/PaaS, Angular/React, API definitions RAML/Swagger, Java, databases).
• Help architect new applications by evaluating technologies with solution architects and product managers.
• Oversee documentation to keep the development team efficient (technical details, setup information, standards, environments).
