Job summary

SMX is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support our industrial security program for multiple clients. This on-site role is based in Hollywood, Maryland with some remote flexibility and occasional travel.

You will manage clearances, trainings, inspections, and reporting, collaborating with DCSA and clients, and maintain FCL records. Must have 5 years' FSO experience and active TS clearance; salary range $121,000–$170,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience as a Facility Security Officer or similar role.
• CDSE Possessing Curriculum completed (within six months).
• Fluent with DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, and SIMS.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as FSO for multiple Facility Clearances (FCLs) in compliance with NISPOM and client requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and implement procedures to ensure compliance.
• Manage personnel security clearances using DISS, NBIS, and SIMS including records management.
