Job summary

SMX is seeking a talented and motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support our industrial security program in SMX across multiple clients. This on-site role is based in Hollywood, Maryland with some remote flexibility and occasional travel, and you will join a collaborative team ensuring a compliant security program.

Responsibilities include managing clearances, developing SOPs, coordinating with DCSA and clients, conducting trainings, maintaining FCL records, and supporting incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5 years of FSO/ASO experience
• Active TS clearance
• Proficiency with DISS/NISS/NBIS/SWFT/SIMS
• US citizenship required
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as FSO for multiple Facility Clearances (FCLs) within the SMX security program in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 and NISPOM
• Coordinate with DCSA and clients to maintain security
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and security policies
• Manage personnel security clearances using DISS/NBIS systems
• Conduct in-house training and briefings on security topics
• Maintain FCL records in NISS and prepare DD254s
• Submit CAC applications and manage CAC issuances
• Investigate security incidents and report to DCSA
• Support SCI requests and visits using ACCS and DISS
• Prepare weekly/monthly security reports for management and clients
• Maintain physical security measures and access control
• Ensure compliance during inspections and audits
• Assist with Insider Threat Program and risk assessments
• Support recruiting with clearance verifications
• Provide proposal support and security collateral
