Job summary

JLL in Thornton, CO is seeking an Operating Engineer to operate, maintain and repair facility systems on a 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm). You will monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires CMMS experience, a High School diploma or GED, 2–4 years in building maintenance, and EPA 608 Type II certification.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2–4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
EPA 608 Type II Certification.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment across systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and manage inventory and contracted work.
Maintain HVAC systems and related equipment at optimum performance.
Record readings and adjust controls to ensure proper operation.
Adhere to safety protocols for hazardous materials and maintain clean workspace.
Conduct periodic checks of tools and inventory, and monitor external contractor work.
