Location: This is a remote/work-from-home role. Candidates must be based in or near San Antonio, TX.

Position Overview

The Senior Facility Manager/Field Consultant oversees all aspects of facility management across client locations. Responsibilities include conducting annual on-site assessments of restaurant facilities and equipment, managing contractors and vendors, and ensuring minimal disruption during repairs and maintenance. The role emphasizes building strong client relationships through organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform annual site surveys and develop repair and maintenance scopes of work.
2. Create and execute a 3-year maintenance plan.
3. Build relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
4. Manage repair and maintenance projects, ensuring they are within scope, budget, and schedule.
5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders about work plans and schedules.
6. Oversee repairs related to building components, MEP, finishes, equipment, signage, and site features.
7. Develop and coordinate scheduled maintenance activities.
8. Establish regional repair and maintenance contractors and manage costs.
9. Identify and address building and system issues, proposing improvements.
10. Train and coach staff and contractors on facilities management.
11. Assist in budget development and provide feedback to cross-functional teams.
12. Support the transition of restaurants from new construction to facilities management.
13. Manage the closure of locations as needed.
14. Provide after-hours support and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in facilities, construction, or design related to restaurants, retail, or commercial buildings.
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or Business required.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
• Experience with restaurant equipment or foodservice is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and technology.
• Willingness to travel 50-100 nights per year.
