Job Description

The Logistics and Facilities Manager supervises contractor personnel involved in logistics support operations. This role involves interaction with military and government civilians at NTTC Lackland, coordination with CENSECFOR Headquarters, and collaboration with other agencies. The manager must understand the requirements of Air Force organizations related to Environmental Management System (EMS) operations, oversee environmental quality program compliance, and manage the budgeting process within the framework of environmental pillars: compliance, conservation, and pollution prevention. Additionally, the manager must understand the AF Base Comprehensive Asset Management Plan (BCAMP), which integrates physical planning, land use, facilities, transportation, and strategic basing processes at NTTC Lackland.

Qualifications

  • Monitor maintenance, management, and logistical support functions.
  • Manage equipment and facility maintenance schedules and daily logistics operations.
  • Analyze mission objectives to determine support needs, coordinate with internal and external units, and evaluate plans for support feasibility.
  • Establish logistics support procedures, including inventory, resource management, and deployment of GSA fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain records for turnover, final reporting, and lessons learned.
  • Schedule and oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure all drivers are qualified and licensed.
  • Generate reports on vehicle usage and maintenance.
  • Manage the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) processes, including documentation and inventory updates.
  • Coordinate Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) compliance per base policies.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in logistics/facilities management, or 6+ years in the field, preferably in Navy or Marine Corps environments.
  • At least 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to research and interpret directives, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to obtain a Tier 3 Background Investigation.

Additional Information

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government contracts.
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
