The State of North Carolina, Department of Adult Correction, seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) for Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, NC. The role focuses on preventive and routine maintenance, along with skilled repairs to keep facilities safe and efficient.

It involves guiding semi-skilled or skilled workers, including offenders, and completing work per PM plans, demanding solid problem-solving and cross-trade capabilities.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED with two years progressive trade experience.
• EPA Type I/II/III or Universal technician certification may be required.
• Ability to perform general maintenance and repair tasks.
• Experience with multiple trades at journey level.

Mansioni

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on facilities systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Train and supervise semi-skilled or skilled workers to assist in job tasks.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per preventive maintenance plans.
