Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) to perform multi-trade facility maintenance, plan and coordinate cross-disciplinary tasks, and supervise offender workers. This full-time role is located at Sampson Correctional Institution in Clinton, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years progressive trade experience preferred.
• Functional ability in two or more trades (electrical, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, etc.).
• EPA Type I/II/III or Universal certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Function at journey level in two or more trades for facility maintenance.
• Plan and coordinate complex tasks across multiple trade disciplines.
• Supervise offender workers on maintenance assignments.
• Ensure compliance with work orders and maintain equipment.
