Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Facility Operating Engineer Level 3 for our Omaha campus. You will manage advanced maintenance, system monitoring, and emergency readiness across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and critical infrastructure.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate vendors, and ensure safety, compliance, and operational continuity. In this role, you will leverage CMMS/BMS to streamline work orders and preventive maintenance, support load management, and participate in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Universal CFC certification.
• 6+ years of facilities engineering or building ops experience, including 4+ years on critical facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, critical power, generators, BMS, and fire-life-safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams and building schematics.
• CMMS, BMS, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and adjust mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Operate and maintain the Building Management System and respond to alerts.
• Monitor central plant and building infrastructure; diagnose malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Operate generators, UPS, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and procedures; support load management and documentation.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, projects, training, and preventive maintenance.
