Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation in Omaha, NE is seeking a Facility Operating Engineer Level 3 to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical building systems on a large corporate campus.

You will perform advanced troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor the Building Management System, and coordinate with vendors and leadership to maintain a high-performing workplace. Monday–Friday office role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Universal CFC certification.
• Minimum of 6 years of related facilities engineering or building operations experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, critical power, generators, and BMS.
• Ability to interpret complex one-line diagrams and technical instructions.
• Experience with CMMS/BMS and budgeting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and adjust critical infrastructure systems.
• Operate and monitor the Building Management System and related controls.
• Monitor central plant and electrical systems; diagnose malfunctions and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate vendor activity and supervise project progress and safety.
• Develop and enforce emergency, maintenance, and SOPs for critical systems.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Support safety, compliance, and capital/opex planning.
