Job summary

Salute is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer III to lead and optimize operations for data center facilities in Kansas City, MO. The role emphasizes reliability of UPS, HVAC, generators, and life-safety systems, with hands-on troubleshooting and strong cross-functional collaboration.

You will apply SOPs, manage change via CMMS, monitor BMS alarms, and support audits and customer requirements, reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in mission-critical facility operations or equivalent.
• Experience with UPS, HVAC, generators, and fire/life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate mission-critical systems per Salute protocols.
• Interpret site drawings and system one-lines for diagnostics.
• Develop and refine SOPs/EOPs/SOOs for readiness.
• Monitor BMS alarms and manage incidents per framework.
• Create and close CMMS work orders and reports.
• Perform inspections and ensure Safety and Ops standards.
• Lead maintenance activities and develop MOPs.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues; escalate as needed.
• Supervise vendor installations and construction activities.
• Support audits (SSAE16, SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Maintain awareness of customer-specific operational requirements.
