Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Facility Operating Engineer Level 3 to ensure safe, reliable operation of building systems across a large corporate campus in Omaha, NE. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, monitor systems, and oversee vendors while guiding junior engineers.

Role requires 6+ years in facilities operations, Universal CFC certification, and strong knowledge of MEP, power, BMS, and CMMS. This is a Monday–Friday, on-site position with potential for overtime and travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• 6+ years in facilities engineering or building operations with 4+ years in critical facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, critical power, and BMS.
• Ability to interpret complex diagrams and technical documents.
• Experience with CMMS, BMS, and MS Office.
• Willingness to work shift hours, after-hours, weekends, and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Operate and monitor Building Management System and respond to alerts.
• Oversee electrical load management, capacity planning, and documentation.
• Manage vendor oversight, site safety, and progress reporting.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff.
• Support budget planning for capex/opex.
