Job summary

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, is seeking a Staff Facility Engineer to oversee the chiller plant, facility-wide environmental monitoring, and BAS/BMS. The role involves data-driven optimization, preventive maintenance, and coordination with service providers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations at our NJ location with support to the Texas facility.

Ideal candidates will have a Mechanical/Electrical/Facilities Engineering degree, 5+ years in facilities/HVAC, and strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.
• 5+ years of facilities engineering, HVAC, or central plant ops.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/BMS and environmental monitoring tech.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ASHRAE, EPA and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chiller plant performance for reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze data to identify trends and optimize systems.
• Oversee environmental monitoring across facility systems.
• Lead preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and capital planning.
• Provide technical guidance for HVAC upgrades and projects.
