Job summary

Harris invites an experienced Chiller Mechanic to join our field service team. You will service commercial and industrial chillers, central plant equipment, cooling towers and related systems, diagnosing and repairing issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

You will work directly with customers, document service activities, and mentor junior technicians while utilizing BMS/BACnet controls and EMS tools across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

High School diploma required.
10-15 years of relevant trade experience.
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial chillers and complex mechanical HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of centrifugal, screw, or reciprocating chillers, central plant equipment and controls.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial chillers and central plant equipment.
Diagnose equipment issues and communicate findings to customers.
Apply EMS/BACnet controls and VFDs to support system performance.
Maintain service records and provide quality repairs to minimize repeat calls.
Mentor less experienced technicians in the field.
