Job summary

ZT Systems in Texas is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to uphold the reliability of a chilled water plant. You will lead maintenance staff, drive KPIs, and coordinate repairs with production leadership, while maintaining inventory and collaborating with contractors.

The role requires troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and CMMS experience within a manufacturing setting, with HVAC-R and electrical knowledge beneficial for success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–5+ years of relevant maintenance work experience.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis experience.
• Experience with automated production equipment maintenance.
• Maintenance in a manufacturing environment and lean manufacturing exposure.
• Ability to communicate in technical terms with skilled labor.
• Basic electrical knowledge and building code familiarity.
• OSHA knowledge and HVAC-R familiarity.
• Cooling tower knowledge and motor controls understanding.
• Experience with CMMS and standard MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily work/tasks to maintenance staff and guide completion.
• Maintain maintenance KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, PM completions, Downtime, Slack time.
• Schedule repairs and PMs with production leadership.
• Maintain inventory min/max levels.
• Collaborate with mechanical contractors for rebuilds.
• Improve SOPs to boost maintenance performance.
• Lead continuous improvement and capital projects.
