Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Facility Site Accessor with an active Secret Clearance to support a federal client at a secure campus in Washington, DC. You will apply mechanical engineering expertise to assess and manage building systems, energy performance, and lifecycle planning.

Travel at least 50% to conduct field surveys, coordinate with stakeholders, and lead technical deliverables while maintaining high quality and independence on project tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ten+ years in building construction industry (MEP, design, project management, or coordination).
• Experience supporting federal facility condition assessments or capital-planning.
• Familiarity with CERL SMS, BUILDER for asset inventory and planning.
• Broad knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, controls, energy management.
• Ability to work independently and lead communications with management and teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct inventories and condition assessments of building and infrastructure components, emphasizing MEP systems.
• Document deficient conditions with written narratives describing general condition.
• Recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies with cost estimate support.
• Quality-control field surveys, data input, assessment findings, and reports.
• Lead regular communications with management on schedules, risks, findings, and status.
• Prepare facility assessment and energy audit reports including standard and energy assessments.
