Job summary

The Building People, LLC, seeks a Senior Facility Site Accessor to support a federal client at a secure campus in Washington, DC. You will apply mechanical engineering expertise across MEP systems, facility condition and energy assessments, BAS, and lifecycle cost planning.

You will travel up to 50% to conduct field surveys, coordinate with government stakeholders, and validate existing conditions. A strong background in facility condition assessments and asset management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of building construction industry experience including mechanical systems design or MEP coordination.
• Experience supporting federal facility condition assessments, asset management, or capital-planning programs.
• Experience using CERL SMS/BUILDER for facility assessment, inventory, data entry, quality control and planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and coordinate with management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventories and condition assessments of building and infrastructure components, focusing on MEP systems.
• Identify, classify, and document deficient conditions with narratives of general condition.
• Recommend corrective actions to support repair, renewal, and lifecycle planning.
• Lead field surveys quality control and data output; schedule regular communications with management.
• Prepare facility assessment reports and energy assessment findings; review BAS data for energy optimization.
• Review cost estimates and databases; suggest database modifications based on real-world data.
• Apply engineering design, energy-management, and asset-management lifecycle principles to ongoing projects.
• Stay current in MEP trades and emerging technologies; document terminology and standards.
• Prepare training materials and conduct training on building mechanical systems.
