Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Facility Site Accessor with an active Secret Clearance to support a federal client at a secure campus in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with building mechanical systems, facility condition assessments, energy assessments, BAS, and lifecycle management.

You will lead field surveys, coordinate with stakeholders, review cost data, and develop actionable engineering solutions while traveling up to 50% to project sites.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ten or more years of relevant building construction industry experience.
• Experience supporting federal facility condition assessments, asset management, or capital-planning programs.
• Experience using CERL SMS and BUILDER for facility assessment and lifecycle planning.
• Broad knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, controls, energy management, and facility infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 50% and report to a secure DC campus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventories and condition assessments of MEP systems across facility types.
• Document deficient conditions with narratives describing general condition.
• Recommend corrective actions for lifecycle planning and cost estimates.
• Perform quality control of field surveys, data input, and reports.
• Lead regular communications with management on schedules, risks, findings, and status.
• Prepare facility assessment and energy audit reports.
• Review BAS data for energy assessments and optimization opportunities.
• Travel to support surveys, audits, and project coordination.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and project teams to translate needs into solutions.
