Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Sr Technician, Facilities, to maintain building systems on a large commercial campus. The role covers plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, housekeeping and grounds, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The Senior Technician will work a second shift (Sun–Wed, 1:30PM–11:30PM) on-site, with a four-day workweek and three-day weekends most weeks. Overtime, 10% shift differential, and parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• License/Certification/Designation: Industry trade certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience: At least four years of proven related work experience.
• Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: General knowledge specialized technical and skilled trade.
• HVAC, mechanical and life safety systems knowledge including motor controls, vibration analysis and equipment balancing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs facility systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural, and grounds.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for facility systems.
• Responds to maintenance, fire alarm and emergency calls and supports other facilities teams.
• Ensures compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
