Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a Lead – Facilities Repairs, Operations & Mechanical Systems to provide technical leadership for the hospital’s mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and building automation. The role emphasizes reliability, preventive maintenance, and 24/7 readiness in a complex healthcare setting.

You will supervise Facilities staff, prioritize work based on patient care impact, and coordinate with vendors while maintaining documentation and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred.
• Pass background check (MV records).
• Strong OSHA safety knowledge.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to identify construction and operational risks.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical personnel.
• Ability to negotiate and coordinate with contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to Facilities staff.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.

• Review plans and equipment documentation for maintenance.
