Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance across hospital facilities, clinics, and properties. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and equipment repairs within your training and scope, escalate as needed, and help keep the environment safe and functional.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, ability to read instructions, and good communication with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, mechanical work, grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Must pass a background check including MV records.
• Combination of education, training, work experience may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry and building systems.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to learn new maintenance skills and procedures.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff, contractors, vendors, and other Facilities personnel.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use an electronic work-order system.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work within hospital policies and procedures.
• English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work throughout hospital facilities.
• Respond to work orders and complete routine maintenance requests within priorities.
• Perform basic repairs to doors, locks, walls, floors, and other components.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC maintenance.
• Perform painting, drywall, patching, and other repairs.
• Assist with installation, relocation, assembly of equipment and furnishings.
• Use tools safely and maintain tools in good condition.
• Complete preventive maintenance documentation and reports.
