Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Trade School Diploma and/or Journeyman license in a relevant skilled trade (HVAC/R, Electrical Systems, Fire Suppression, or closely related field).
• Preferred: Associate degree and hospital/large complex facility experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technician for critical facilities including BSL3 labs and animal facilities.
• Plan and complete repairs/installation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for short-range projects.
• Lead and mentor skilled trade staff; coordinate with contractors and campus partners.
• Monitor outside service schedules and equipment installation; communicate interruptions in service.
• Promote safety and participate in construction meetings; ensure proper facility conditions after work.
