Job summary

The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking a Superintendent for the Multi-Service Center Region to lead day-to-day operations and maintenance across the MSC Region. This role ensures safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities and is an Emergency Essential position with around-the-clock availability.

The successful candidate will manage facilities teams, coordinate with vendors, and oversee multi-million-dollar budgets, driving strategic plans and prudent resource

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with executive and senior leadership, agency management, staff, vendors, and building tenants.
Ability to supervise facilities management teams and contractors.
Experience directing multi-facility operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates all activities related to the management of buildings in the Superintendent's portfolio.
Develop short- and long-term strategies for buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
Oversee daily building operations to ensure facilities are open for business.
