Job summary

COLSA Corporation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Facilities Coordinator to oversee day-to-day building operations, maintenance activities, and facility support services on our Huntsville campus. This on-site role coordinates work orders, preventive maintenance, and safety for the facility.

The position is full-time and onsite, with occasional after-hours or weekend work to respond to emergencies or support operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of facilities management experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work after-hours if needed.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure buildings, workspaces, and equipment remain safe, clean, functional, and available for use.
• Provides day-to-day supervision and direction to assigned facilities personnel, including coordinating work assignments, priorities, and facility support activities.
• Receives, manages, and tracks facility work orders and service requests through resolution.
• Coordinates maintenance, repairs, and specialized facility services with employees and outside contractors.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
• Monitors facility conditions and identifies maintenance, repair, and safety needs.
• Ensures applicable facility safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Participates in emergency preparedness planning and supports facility-related response activities.
