Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for facilities in Largo, FL and Cleveland, TN. Travel to both sites will be required, demanding strong leadership and remote team management.

You’ll lead preventive maintenance, vendor management, and budget controls while ensuring safety and compliance across locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience with 3+ years in supervisory or management role
  • Understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems
  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and CMMS
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage remote teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with cross-location prioritization
  • Financial acumen including budget development and expense management

Senior Facilities Manager - JLL

What this job involves: The Senior Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for JLL-managed facilities across two geographically dispersed locations in Largo, Florida and Cleveland, Tennessee (must be able to travel). This role requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage remote teams effectively while ensuring consistent service delivery, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction across both sites.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Multi-Site Operations Management: Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for facilities in both Largo and Cleveland locations. Develop and implement standardized processes, procedures, and best practices across both sites while accommodating location-specific requirements. Establish regular site visit schedules to maintain visible leadership presence at each location and build strong relationships with on-site teams and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage, mentor, and develop facilities staff across both locations, including Facilities Coordinators, Technicians, and Maintenance personnel. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and professional development opportunities, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands. Foster collaborative team culture despite geographic separation through effective communication and team-building initiatives.
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems. Ensure timely response to maintenance requests and coordinate corrective repairs with internal teams and external contractors. Maintain detailed maintenance records and track key performance indicators to optimize equipment reliability and lifecycle management.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and service contractors across both locations. Ensure contract compliance, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate vendor activities including scheduled maintenance, capital projects, and emergency repairs while maintaining safety protocols and minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage annual operating budgets for both facilities. Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide regular financial reporting to leadership. Review and approve invoices, manage capital improvement planning, and ensure optimal allocation of resources across locations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and corporate safety policies at both facilities. Conduct regular safety audits, coordinate emergency preparedness drills, and maintain required documentation for inspections and certifications. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to maintain safe working environments.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as primary facilities contact for building occupants, client leadership, and corporate stakeholders. Address concerns promptly, communicate facility updates effectively, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct regular business reviews and provide performance metrics demonstrating value delivery.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities with ability to manage remote teams effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize across multiple locations
  • Strong financial acumen including budget development and expense management
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing multiple sites or geographically dispersed operations
  • Familiarity with GxP or GMP facilities

Location: Based in Largo, FL (10-20% travel to Cleveland, TN)

Physical Requirements and Travel: Ability to travel regularly between Largo, FL and Cleveland, TN facilities. Must be willing to respond to emergency situations outside normal business hours as needed. Ability to conduct site inspections requiring walking, climbing stairs, and accessing mechanical spaces. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 50 lbs
