PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Senior Facilities Manager will oversee and manage 200K+ sq. ft. of custom-designed and curated signature space, including manufacturing, office, warehouse, and other business environments. The role ensures all building-related infrastructure and support services function effectively, remain cost-efficient, and are scalable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage Properties
- Manage properties within an area (e.g., Bay Area), ensuring functionality, cleanliness, and organization.
- Ensure all sites adhere to developed standards and implement policies for compliance and scalability.
- Implement SOP, MOP, & EOP procedures.
- Plan, select, propose, and execute equipment and system upgrades or replacements to enhance efficiency and control costs.
- Coordinate system repairs and monitor performance.
- Ensure proper functioning of facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other manufacturing support systems.
- Prioritize site improvement projects and activities.
- Plan and coordinate major maintenance activities, including scheduled shutdowns.
- Provide effective 24/7 support for facility operations.
Professional Service / Customer Service / Business Partnerships
- Collaborate with management to optimize facility space utilization.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships supporting business needs.
- Engage with landlords to manage facility obligations where appropriate.
Audit / Compliance / Documentation
- Conduct equipment audits and maintain records.
- Ensure facilities compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Communicate project timelines clearly and hold teams accountable for timely, on-budget delivery.
Travel and Licensing
- Occasional travel may be required to procure parts or transport equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle access.
- Availability for emergency response during non-standard hours is required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit (30%) and walk/stand (70%).
- Regularly lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
- Perform physical activities including bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and balancing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 8+ years broad facilities management experience in manufacturing, office, and warehouse environments.
- 7+ years supervisory experience in facilities, including personnel and project management, and departmental budgeting.
- Experience with governmental permitting and project approvals.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to deliver efficient, reliable, and courteous service.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Vendor management and negotiation experience.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills, especially in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
- Partner with EHS for safety and compliance, especially for capital projects.
