Job Overview


The Senior Manager, Facilities is responsible for managing facilities colleagues in the stores. They coordinate efforts between internal partners and third-party vendors. Additionally, they manage energy use in each facility within their division. This individual also performs other assigned duties as needed.


What You Will Do



  • Lead the team responsible for managing facilities within the designated area of responsibility

  • Supervise the performance of both direct and indirect reports

  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) tasks are managed effectively

  • Oversee the proper use of the Work Order Management system

  • Drive technician productivity by analyzing Work Order and PM performance

  • Ensure that all active equipment is maintained to standard

  • Make recommendations for capital expenditures within the location

  • Assist in establishing long-range capital plans to mitigate asset risks

  • Identify and facilitate energy savings opportunities through collaboration with field and energy teams, operations, and others

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and communication

  • Supervise and achieve expense performance in both payroll and non-payroll accounts

  • Focus on engaging the field team, driving high levels of engagement through communication, collaboration, education, and celebration

  • Coordinate and supervise any approved projects assigned within the location or division

  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with store, division, regional, and central partners

  • Collaborate with Store Environment colleagues on both small and large-scale projects

  • Coordinate projects with relevant internal teams and third-party companies

  • Present weekly business and project updates to functional partners

  • Develop talent by coaching and collaborating with staff

  • Communicate with all appropriate levels of management within the division and locations

  • Work with HR partners to support corporate direction, negotiate agreements, resolve issues, and develop the team

  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities

  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality


Skills You Will Need


Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and supervise teams, both direct and indirect reports, fostering high performance and engagement


Facility Management Expertise: Knowledge of managing repairs, preventative maintenance, and overall facility operations to ensure compliance with standards


Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing Work Order and PM performance to drive technician productivity and operational efficiency


Project Coordination: Strong skills in coordinating cross-functional projects and effectively communicating across various departments and levels of management


Budget Management: Experience in managing expenses related to payroll and non-payroll accounts, making recommendations for capital expenditures


Energy Management: Ability to identify and facilitate energy savings opportunities in collaboration with relevant teams


Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and internal partners


Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting information to diverse audiences, including management and external partners


Strategic Planning: Capability to effectively plan and execute strategies that align with long-term capital plans and organizational goals


Talent Development: Skills in coaching and mentoring staff to foster growth and enhance team capabilities


Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply

    • 3+ years of experience


  • This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.

    • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

    • May involve reaching above eye level

    • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment


  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs

    • Able to respond to emergency and business disruption calls at any hour of the day or night
