Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead facilities operations on a multinational client account in Chicago. The role centers on maintaining facilities, managing budgets, and coordinating vendors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee a maintenance team, manage projects, and drive energy-savings initiatives within a complex real estate portfolio in the Magnificent Mile area. Onsite work schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of third-party commercial integrated facilities management (IFM) experience.
• Strong organizational/management, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of real estate, construction, elevators, and project management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and SharePoint.
• CMMS experience: Corrigo, 360 Facility, Maximo, etc.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management – Measure and manage client feedback, conduct relationship meetings, and deliver on commitments.
• Compliance & Asset Management – Ensure maintenance schedules, CMMS data accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
• Financial Management – Oversee budgets, forecasting, variance reporting, and cost savings opportunities.
• Vendor Management – Manage site vendors, set expectations, and support sourcing with RFPs.
• People Management – Lead maintenance team, address performance, training, and succession planning.
• Project Management – Plan and execute small to medium site projects including construction or equipment changes.
• Safety & Sustainability Leadership – Drive safety improvements and energy conservation initiatives.

Senior Facilities Manager (M1) Transform

Transform at JLL as a Senior Facilities Manager on a global client account in our Technology Division! Our client is multinational media, marketing, and corporate communications holding company.

Job Details

• Location: The Magnificent Mile district on Michigan Avenue
• Work Schedule: Onsite M-F 9 AM-5 PM
• Travel Requirements: 25% / once a quarter
• Reports to: Regional Facilities Manager
• Estimated compensation for this position is: $90,000 - $110,000
• Location: On-site –Chicago, IL
• Compensation: Expected compensation for this position: 90,000.00 – 110,000.00 USD per year

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management – Measure and manage client feedback, conduct relationship meetings, and deliver on commitments while managing expectations and partnering with teams to implement best practices
• Compliance & Asset Management – Ensure completion of all equipment preventive maintenance schedules, maintain accurate CMMS data, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, company/client standards, and all local, state, and federal regulations
• Financial Management – Oversee budget creation, monthly analysis, forecasting, variance reporting, capital planning, and identification of cost savings opportunities
• Vendor Management – Manage site vendors by setting expectations, addressing performance issues, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting sourcing team with RFPs and data gathering
• People Management – Lead maintenance team by setting expectations, addressing performance issues, ensuring training completion, developing talent, planning succession, and attracting diverse top talent
• Project Management – Plan and execute small to medium site projects including construction, equipment modification/replacement, and facility changes while representing the site on larger projects
• Safety & Sustainability Leadership – Drive safety performance improvement through awareness and behavior change; develop and implement energy conservation initiatives with documented savings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Minimum of 6+ years of third-party commercial integrated facilities management (IFM) experience
• Strong organizational / management, interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong knowledge of real estate, construction, elevators, and project management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Share Point
• Computer proficiency in Computerized Maintenance management System (CMMS): Corrigo, 360 Facility, Maximo, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Retail or multi-site facilities and construction experience, highly desired.
