Job summary

Abbott is seeking a maintenance technician to support manufacturing operations, calibrate equipment, and work with engineers to improve processes. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, quality testing, and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

The 4th shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm) offers a hands-on environment in a global healthcare company that values innovation, safety, and continuous learning. Associates degree required with at least 3 years in relevant fields.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity, or Instrumentation.
Minimum 3 years experience in industrial mechanics, electronics or instrumentation, preferably in medical devices.
Verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

Observe and comply with safety rules and ISO/QSR standards.
Perform setup, tests, repair, inspection and maintenance of equipment across Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality and other areas.
Identify, document and implement corrective actions on equipment used in manufacturing.
Perform corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as needed.
Install and validate equipment in production to improve performance and reduce cycle time.
Evaluate operational data to make online adjustments and develop or review procedures.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and materials.
Coordinate construction of tools and accessories for manufacturing.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
