Job summary

Abbott is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance across facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and controls. The role supports process improvements and may back up senior technicians, with a three-12 hour overnight shift schedule (8:00 p.m.

– 8:30 a.m.). You will enter work orders in CMMS, inspect facilities regularly, manage spare parts, and ensure adherence to SOP and EHS policies while maintaining

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair setting.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience in maintenance disciplines.
• Proficiency with hand tools, meters, and related testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and blueprints.
• Microsoft Office skills including Excel macros and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on facility systems.
• Assist with spare parts management to minimize downtime.
• Support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems operations.
• Enter, prioritize and complete work orders in the CMMS system.
• Conduct daily to monthly building inspections and document findings.
• Follow SOPs and EHS requirements; ensure contractor compliance.
