Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead operations for auction facilities, offices, grounds and equipment. You will supervise maintenance and custodial staff, inspect facilities, and coordinate procurement for building needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with extensive related experience and at least one year in a leadership position. Strong knowledge of maintenance codes and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience in a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in management or lead role.
• Knowledge of facility and building maintenance codes and permitting requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and custodial personnel and identify current and future maintenance requirements.
• Inspect facilities, buildings and equipment to determine service needs and staffing.
• Coordinate with Procurement on purchase of building and maintenance supplies, machinery and equipment.
• Direct maintenance of utility systems (heat, power, gas, air) and related modifications.
• Compile labor and material cost data and prepare management reports.
• Assist location leadership in preparing annual maintenance budgets.
• Prepare facilities for events, including setup and breakdown of areas.
• Recruit, orient, train and develop maintenance staff; provide ongoing educational opportunities.
• Model safety behaviours and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Monitor staffing levels, review performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives.
• Lead location team and uphold Cox/Manheim values; enforce policies.
