Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and custodial operations for auction facilities, offices, grounds, and equipment. You will direct a team, manage budgets, and ensure safe, efficient service across locations.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with procurement, and preparing for events while driving safety and performance metrics. A bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination.
• 1+ year of experience in management or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of facility and building maintenance codes and permitting requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and custodial personnel and identify current and future maintenance requirements.
• Inspect facilities, buildings and equipment to determine service needs and staffing.
• Coordinate with Procurement on building and maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Lead installation and maintenance of utility systems (heat, power, gas, air).
• Maintain budget and prepare cost reports for management.
• Prepare facilities for events including setup and breakdown.
• Recruit, train and develop maintenance staff; conduct performance appraisals.
• Uphold safety procedures and align with Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational processes.
• Lead by example and ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
