St. John’s Community Health in Indio, CA seeks a Senior Facilities Maintenance Construction Specialist. You will handle a wide range of healthcare-related construction tasks, from carpentry to HVAC and electrical work, to support hospital operations.

The role requires 6+ years in healthcare construction, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects safely and efficiently. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; it’s a fully on-site post with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade or vocational training a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years in healthcare-related construction and maintenance.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel; familiar with internet software.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus (read, write, speak).
• Flexible schedule with overtime availability; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

Handyman to have (6) plus years health care related construction experience with significant skills in the following: Finished carpentry, rough carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, HVAC repair/ maintenance and operations, plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring (carpet tile, VCT, ceramic tile), Acrovyn installation, tenant improvements, doors/ hardware, minor equipment repair, masonry, concrete, anchoring, landscaping and irrigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• (6) plus years construction experience
