Job summary

First Responder Wellness in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician on a part-time schedule to support day-to-day upkeep of residential and office facilities.

You will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to keep spaces safe and functional across locations. Strong hands-on skills, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple tasks are essential, including some after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.
• At least two years of general maintenance or handyman experience.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Valid California Driver's License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs, including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repair.
• Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including HVAC filter changes and fixture and appliance checks.
• Maintain fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and other basic safety equipment and report deficiencies.
• Move and set up furniture, equipment, tools, and supplies as needed across residential houses and offices.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies and coordinate purchases with the Operations Manager.
• Assist with routine vehicle maintenance coordination for company vehicles.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Respond to urgent facility maintenance issues, including occasional after-hours needs.
• Help ensure all facilities remain clean, safe, functional, and in good repair.
• Perform other duties as requested and required.

• Livescan background clearance required for work in DSS-licensed facilities.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally handle heavier or bulky items with appropriate assistance or mechanical equipment.
• Climb, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform other physical tasks associated with facility maintenance.
