Job summary

The State of Utah seeks a Lead Journey Maintenance/Construction Specialist to drive maintenance and construction across state facilities, ensuring safety and seamless operations. The role acts as a technical resource and mentor for facility teams and contractors.

You will oversee advanced journey-level work in multiple trades, coordinate projects, and promote quality workmanship and exceptional customer service across state agencies.

Qualifications

• Must have six years of progressive experience in commercial building maintenance, construction, facilities management, or a building trade.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in a building trade with four years of journey-level experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and directly related experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and construction activities within state facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance and small construction projects.
• Mentor and train staff; monitor daily work activities.
• Ensure facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship.
