Job summary

Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) in Salt Lake City seeks a Journey Maintenance Specialist with extensive facilities and skilled-trades experience. You will support state agencies through high-level maintenance, construction, and technical consultation, delivering safe, compliant infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on ability to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide project estimates, with on-site duties at 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of facility/building maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform multiple skilled maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to work on-site in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, performs repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Provides technical consultation and develops project plans.
• Fabricates structures and repairs equipment from drawings.
• Welds, solders, braze, and fabricates various materials.
• Performs general facility maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
