Job summary

The City of Corona is seeking a Lead Facilities Specialist to oversee maintenance and renovation of City facilities, parks, and infrastructure. You will lead skilled trades, interpret blueprints, schedule projects, and ensure work meets safety and City standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years journey-level experience across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC, plus at least one year in a lead role. Strong communication with teams, contractors, and departments is essential; you will

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program in at least one skilled trade is preferred: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
• Four (4) years of full-time journey level experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical systems, or HVAC.
• One (1) year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance staff across multiple skilled trades.
• Plan, coordinate, and complete several projects safely and efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints and technical docs to guide field work.
• Maintain records and communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and City departments.
