Job summary

Central Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to perform sub-journeyman maintenance across various crafts. The role includes make-ready duties in offices and clinics, painting, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, and light electrical work, with teamwork and independent execution in safety-compliant environments.

The position requires hands-on experience in building systems, ability to lead projects, and the capacity to train junior staff.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
Preferred 5 years in building systems maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, life safety).
Licenses/Certifications: Texas Class C Drivers License, proof of automobile liability insurance, 30-hour OSHA safety course.

Responsibilities

Works on multiple facility systems and performs tasks with limited supervision.
Leads projects, orders supplies, and coordinates with vendors as needed.
Trains lower level maintenance technicians in facilities maintenance skills.
Troubleshoots power outages and repairs minor electrical issues, including changing light fixtures.
Replaces glass in doors and windows and leads related installation/repair projects.
Performs and trains staff in simple plumbing installations and repairs (faucets, drains, valves).
Maintains and services pumps, air handlers, and cooling towers; performs oil changes and lubrication.
